IRON MAIDEN Dominate New York City's Madison Square Garden!
Posted on: March 31, 2016 @ 1:56 pm by Jö Schüftan
On Wednesday, March 31, 2016, The Book Of Souls Tour (featuring IRON MAIDEN and THE RAVEN AGE) took over the LEGENDARY Madison Square Garden in New York City. Prior to the show the anticipation could be felt at every single bar located near "The World's Most Famous Arena" as MAIDEN was being blasted and the Trooper Beer was flowing! Consequently, once the concert started over 18,000 people were ready to lose their minds!!!

While show openers THE RAVEN AGE (the band of Steve Harris' son) had the arduous task of opening for the mighty Maiden in front of an audience that has no interest in the opening band, they passed the final exam with flying colors thanks to their energetic set that served as the perfect ear warmer for MAIDEN!

Once THE RAVEN AGE got off stage, everyone quenched their thirst and anxiously awaited for IRON MAIDEN to take center stage and deliver their world famous brand of old school Heavy Metal.

For the next 2 hours the band - Bruce Dickinson, Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Nicko McBrain and Janick Gers - presented thousands of fans their brand NEW album entitled Book Of Souls (available now via Parlophone, Sanctuary Copyrights/BMG) and of course played classic hit songs such as "Number Of The Beast", "Hallowed Be Thy Name" and "Fear of the Dark".

While the mix was a little off with the bass being way too loud, Bruce Dickinson made sure he was the loudest one in the arena and proved that at 57 years old his voice is strong and always ready to battle the energetic noise of the crowd.

One thing that really stood out is that IRON MAIDEN looked like they were having tons of fun, meaning that the band's chemistry is intact!
